Comprehensive produced water and flowback treatment solutions — from H₂S removal and bacteria control to solids management and fluid reuse.
Full-Cycle Water Management
Produced water doesn't have to be a liability. Stimulate's fluid treatment systems remove contaminants at the source — turning problem water into reusable fluid that keeps your operations running and your disposal costs down.
We don't just show up with equipment — we show up with a plan. Every treatment program starts with water sampling and lab analysis so we know exactly what we're dealing with before a single pump turns on.
Six Core Solutions. One Complete Program.
Every well produces different water chemistry. We tailor our treatment programs to match — targeting H₂S, bacteria, dissolved solids, TSS, and more.
Zero Atmosphere (ZA) Vessels
Our continuous treatment approach combines proprietary chemical and mechanical processes to fully eliminate H₂S in flowback and produced water. The three-stage process — mechanical agitation, gas stripping, and chemical polishing — reduces overall chemical requirements while ensuring complete removal.
ZA vessels service any operation with potential sour fluid — coil milling, snubbing ops, well stimulations, and flowback treatment and reuse.
On-site fluid testing & sampling, bacteria (ATP) testing, and water quality testing — paired with treatment vessels to optimize chemical loading.
Oxidation & Chemical Precipitation
Dissolved solids like iron, barium, calcium, and sulphate can't be filtered out — they're dissolved in the water itself. We use two chemical mechanisms to force them into removable solids. For iron, we inject an oxidizer that converts dissolved Fe²⁺ into iron oxide (FeO₂ or Fe₂O₃), which precipitates out of solution as a solid. For other unwanted ions like barium, calcium, and sulphate, we inject a precipitant that forces the dissolved ions out of solution as solid particles.
The result is a TDS-to-TSS conversion — dissolved solids become suspended solids that can be settled, floated, or filtered out using conventional separation equipment. Chemical dosing is lab-designed per water chemistry to maximize removal.
DAF Separation Systems
DAF systems inject micro-bubbles into the water stream, floating suspended oils, solids, and emulsions to the surface for efficient separation and skimming.
Ideal for treating high-volume flowback with elevated hydrocarbon content. The float layer is continuously removed by a mechanical skimmer while clean water is discharged from below.
Coagulation, Flocculation & Settling
Total suspended solids are managed through coagulation, flocculation, and settling processes. We dial in chemistry and retention times to meet your target specifications — whether for reuse, reinjection, or disposal.
Coagulant injection destabilizes particles, gentle mixing grows them into settleable flocs, and gravity separation produces clear water meeting your spec.
Multi-Stage Filtration & Heat Exchange
Multi-stage filtration and cooling systems reduce temperature and particle loads before fluid is reused or transferred to disposal. We size and configure filter trains to match your flow rates and water quality targets.
From coarse multi-media through fine cartridge to polish-grade filtration, each stage progressively removes particles down to target spec. On demand cooling brings fluid temperature within operational limits.
Targeted Biocide Programs
Sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and acid-producing bacteria (APB) cause reservoir souring, corrosion, and plugging. Left unchecked, they damage downhole equipment and degrade water quality. We deploy targeted biocide programs that eliminate bacterial populations throughout the treatment cycle.
Treatment effectiveness is verified through ATP testing — a rapid lab method that measures the biological energy (adenosine triphosphate) present in a water sample. High ATP means active bacteria; low ATP confirms the biocide is working. This gives us a real-time read on bacterial activity so we can adjust dosing on the fly.
Zero Atmosphere (ZA) vessels use mechanical agitation, gas stripping, and chemical polishing to treat 1 ppm – 20% H₂S. Flow rates from 500–2,500 m³/day with zero emissions.
Oxidation and chemical precipitation to convert dissolved iron, barium, calcium, and sulphate into removable solids — preventing scaling and plugging downhole.
Micro-bubble flotation to separate suspended oils, solids, and emulsions from high-volume flowback with elevated hydrocarbon content.
Three-stage process — coagulation, flocculation, and settling — dialed in to meet your target TSS specs for reuse or disposal.
Multi-stage filtration (50μm → 10μm → 1μm) and cooling systems to reduce temperature and particle loads before reuse.
Targeted biocide programs eliminate sulfate-reducing (SRB) and acid-producing bacteria (APB) that cause reservoir souring, corrosion, and plugging. Lab-verified dosing ensures it's working.
